Which back protector?

Im looking at doing some track days etc. What back protector should I be looking for and with what features?

I know next to nothing about them. Yes I realize it has to fit and I may need to strap 2 together to get round my gut.

I've got a Knox Aegis one I use for trackdays. Once it on I dont know its there. I have a shorter one I use on the road though because the Knox is longer and on the Street Triple I sit up more and it bunts the back of my helmet. Not a problem crouched over on the track.

Its also good that they do up with big stretchy elastic and velcro because you can (OK, I do) instantly shrink a trouser size. My muffin top over that isnt so cool though.

The Forcefield Sub 4 scores well in comparisons, and transmits the least energy.

I can attest to the fact that the Knox Aegis is extremely comfortable.

I currently have a poorly fitting older forcefield, and am tossing up between the above options. I think you should try them on underneath your gear and see which suits you best.

Be sure to check that what you do buy is 1) a name brand and 2) meets EU level two back protector standards. The Forcefield Sub 4 exceeds this standard by a long way.

On a related note, does anybody know where I could try on a sub 4 in wellington? I've tried the knox and want to try the forcefield before I decide which to buy.

I can attest to the fact that the Knox Aegis is extremely comfortable.

So can I, I only recently got one and out of the three different types I've owned it is easily the most comfortable one I've used

To hurt my chest the road has to get past my tummy.

I have built in protection on the front.
