GPR do like having the lovely smell of two strokes as well.

Some more progress on one of the original GPR frames:
Slowly returning to what it was originally designed to be.

Should be a hoot to ride.
I just might need a midget to ride it.

Is that your original? The one I rode at Kaitoke? If so I might apply for midget dispensation at the GP I loved that thing (except for the front brake) honestly think I would have been faster than I was on my bike given 10 laps.

I'm a midget, I'll give it good home
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Yip it's the original one you rode. However you need to count the number of Carbs and Exhausts...

    Where did we start from.
However, while GPR001 (SVR650) and GPR002 (VFR400) had already rolled off the Griffiths production line; this one GPR003 is what kicked off Team GPR. Half way through the build (which was actually a TZR250 engined F3 bike); I ran into issues mounting the TZR100 engine into my TZ125 frame. Suggestion was made to mount it temporally into the F3 chassis for the GP...
The lads got real keen to get back into buckets GPR004 rolled off the line shortly after, Regan and Myself had our first race on both bikes at the last Taupo GP. Scotty then when nuts and started smashing out frames / dynos and then engines.
    The good resent old days...

That would have to be the most exotic rear caliper I've seen in NZ....

I see what it is although that link won't open for me. I stand by what i said - a 4 piston radial mount caliper on the rear of a light bike is a tad exotic for me...

    $57US
Brakes ............they only slow you down.
The radial mount is bloody trick looking though.
We have never been able to find what scooter front calliper Honda used on the Rs125 and 250's.

Yes, i've been into the pad catalogues too in the past. Shouldn't you be identifying Spyda's disc ?

we found another model that fitted I think but not the smoking gun pretty sure Honda being Honda it will be off the front of a DJ1 or something
Re Spyda it looked BMW disk but the center spacing for the bolts was all wrong........
it also would not fit a EPM wheel either. So no idea.... Who made late 70's bmw disks?

It was a pretty good guess about those smoothbores just from a tiny pic aye.

Send me a jig picture and i will look for spydas disk.

Can I at least audition? Might be able to jack up a one off Friday night test run, have some dirt on the guy that does the track bookings, he is a cunt.

I was trying to figure out what you were both on about. Clicked now.
Yea, cheap China radial caliper. Actually really nicely made. But far too much for a rear brake..

Don't get me wrong - I DO like the bike. Back in the day, there was a form of almost intimidation went on where you'd see someone turn up with a 250mm Fontana front brake on perhaps a 250. The visible intent was - try and outbrake this, sonny....
I can see you cutting brake pads to make it controllable.
