I'd never have though it was worth doing all that shit to a single cammer but what do i know....Some people must just go looking for ways to spend money.
Aussie rules make single cammers a very attractive proposition. They are everywhere in both solo & sidecar at a classic meeting over there.

Yeah but the aussie rules were written by dumarses apparently. Its like the 70's all over again.

A guy in a thread there said he'd spent $17,400 on his bike, a few of them were talking about 7k engine rebuilds

A Maney 1016cc Norton engine & a TT industries 6 speed box is the best part of 27k & not one part of them resembles the original Norton part, & the same guys that are racing them are shitting their pants that a bloke with a standard single cam Honda four might turn up to race with them. Go figure, & that's why I can barely be fucked with classic sidecars at the mo.

Too true...Ironic that in period in the UK, the twins were popular cos they were cheap, and the CB750 then the Z's were rare cos they were dear...
The situation has completely reversed now. Aided by some judicious buying from a good contact in the states, I put a very good Z1 together here for under 5 grand - including 29mm CR's.

Last couple of hours sanding the bodywork today so it's ready for the painter, I didn't keep track but I think it's somehwere between 30-40 hours between the fibreglassing and sanding, it's not Gordy OCD quality which would take the rest of the year but it should come up pretty good

Note to self, stop running into shit

I can't afford to sponsor you if you keep crashing, but I can send some stickers to help hold your fairing together.
