More of a shed?
Yeah we dont live near enough to large population to get big money. Either way little fits in without serious surgery so I lose little sleep over a one way conversion . Plus I need the money from selling off stuff to make it cheap.

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
In my mind it's going to be the NX4 RS125s which are going to be worth anything substantial in the future but hey I may be wrong. I think if you're into motorcycle racing to make money, or preserve something so you can make money, you've got your priorities wrong.
Here's John Reid riding Ginger Molloy's Bultaco TSS, followed closely by Chris Swallow. Such a good battle. The TSS has got to be one of my favourite bikes ever, so cool.

You are very wrong, these bikes are the future classics due to the small numbers that were produced, but hey it's your bike you do what you feel is right. In my eyes these things are to be treasured as they will not be made ever again. I see you going on about Gingers bike, that is only here to be admired because someone preserved it. Bloody yoofs wait until you loose something you have grown up loving and you'll see what i mean. Rant over, as you were.
Nice rant. Very good point raised.
I suppose it comes down to perspective though. If you cut it up now, race it and enjoy the hell out it, you yourself are seeing the benefits now.
If you don't cut it up and save it until they become big again then you or someone else are seeing the benefit later on.
I don't think there is any right or wrong here, the only wrong would be cutting it up and then not actually using it.

Try make the f4 work without cutting would be my point, if you have to cut do it neatly and save the bits.
They don't fit much anything without cutting. But I'm producing a classic bike. So screw what went before. This is now and who cares what comes next. People can worship my achievements and rebuild my bike.
This is from someone who carved groove for the next owner of my kdx so they could change the head bearings

Rob, you're the man, thanks again for letting me occupy your evening tuning the slug!
The red curve is with Karl Messiter's exhaust
The blue curve is with the current muffler I have on the bike
I knew the muffler I'm running was crap but thankfully after a bit of tuning it's not as bad as it was! Karl may struggle to get his muffler back however
A new intake trumpet went on after a few runs at different lengths and we tested a few different sized main jets until we found a winner.
Next up is an oil and filter change and a once over before the 2 hour race this month, stoked!

The FXR is back
With the noisy megaphone exhaust it was making 19.7hp and 9.6 ft-lbs torque and pulling hard to the rev limiter.
It must be time to throw in a high comp piston.
Just to rub it in the KE makes 19hp at 8.5k (Shame it never gets to the track).
Kel, as much as I want to throw some time and money at that thing to really get it running/handling as best it can, I just don't have it available.
All the possible available time I have goes into sleep > work > study, repeat. ALTHOUGH I did dedicate the weekend to my forgotten mistress, the RS125. See below.
I'm so excited to have this going and I know after seeing your RS at Tokoroa that excitement will be at an all time high.
I had to cut a cooling fin off the head to get it in between the skinny frame which is unfortunate.
^ This is how excited I am. I'm a pretty small dude and the bike fits me great. I can't wait to ride it even if it had stock power, the lightness is going to be awesome!
No turning back now, the engine mounts are cut! Rear engine mounts completed, front engine mount most of the way there just needs a few minor things done to it.
Now to start thinking about finishing that cylinder, it might have to wait after my CA exam though![]()
Here's some photos that my dad Simon shot whilst I was racing against Bert at the back of A grade. Such fun!
^Where's Ricky?
Myself and Bert. He got me on the first race but I managed to get by and block him until the flag dropped in race two
