Put a new chain on and it will need to be adjusted after a weekend of racing

I can see you needing them

We put new chain on at the isle of man and after one lap there was a hell of a lot of play in it and that was only after 38 miles

Hmmm, that is not my experience of new chains. New 520 chain on the RF when I got it, never needed adjustment between tyre changes.

What condition were the sprockets in on the chair in question?

Anyhoo. Seems I'm the only one who thinks they're surplus to requirement. Looks like we'll fashion some adjustment in there.

Initial stretch but then calms down. 30mins of practise time on each chain and wouldn't be so bad after that.

You didn't own a Katana 1100 with 630 non o ring chain then. Had to buy it by the pallet load.

We looked at using a spring loaded one on my Superkart, instead we put a threaded adjuster on it so we could set the tension

You must have been paying less for brake pads than we are. Was mighty surprised at what we had to pay for pads, and we haven't tried to find rear and chair pads yet.

Screw that. Any time it spends taught, is just sapping power. That's why I wanted to move our swingarm pivot, but ended up putting the half shaft in.
