Ladies, today I woke up late. I rode my bike to work and made it on time. I then got changed out of my bike gear only to discover - oh shock horror gasp... I'd forgotten my work shoes. So, today I rock my Dainese boots in the office. I'm too cool (i'm actually mortified, but i'm pretending that this is fashionable).
Bwhahahaha .. I have done that often .. fortunately I get to wear long pants .. and so my boots are always covered (though some peope have noticed the toes pointing out under the ends of my pants) ..
I also keep a pair of jandals in my office now .. I live in them all year round so I don't get caugfht like that ... (I guess when I get another management job I'll have to wear shoes again - BUGGA)
"So if you meet me, have some sympathy, have some courtesy, have some taste ..."
Haha this is why I keep a spare set of work boots in my office so I can just hop on the bike and go. I also keep spare jeans by my desk too cause I can't sit on my bike comfortably with them on (too tight around the thigh area - hah!)
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
Lesson learnt - will leave spare shoes at work (will also pack gear the night before). Could have been worse, imagine if I'd forgotten my pants or skirt....
I'm just super glad that these boots are so comfy.
Only person who has spotted that these aren't traditional boots is one of the bosses whose husband does bucket racing. She giggled. I love my co-workers
