Stuck some BB7 mechanical disc calipers on the Vectra Sport today. Hopefully they've got more progression and bite than the old Shimano mechanicals they replaced. They're certainly lighter and look MUCH cooler.
Claudio's course previews are always awesome,

40t rear sprocket got installed last night. Quite nice...
Did some new tracks tonight, mixture of MTB and 4WD from the Ashley bridge downriver to Waikuku, 27km return trip and getting down to 4 degrees on the way back, time for a burger and coke to make up for it

Nelson Boys College Cyclocross.
35min + 1 lap.
5 flights of steps (up).
Lots of mud.
Lots of off camber.
I body checked a fence (at low speed) but that was all.
It was a hard grind.
Then after a couple of BBQ soss n sauce, I rode home around the port and via the cycleway.
Had to stop at the Wakefield shop for an icecream to refuel. Took 1:30 to get home.
Knackered now surprisingly.
Also, putting 29er wheels on a 26" bike raises the seat height considerably. Something I only became aware of the first time I stopped an put a foot down whilst still seated. Normally tiptoes, now, not ops:
Claudio's latest course preview. He's one funny dude :-)
That wasn't an orgasm, that was fear.
