Sold it for a pittance out of sight (or pushed it off a cliff) rather than advertise the fact that they can't fix a model of bike that they sell new.

I would expect them as an agent, to be able to fucking fix it. Not say they can't and don't ever wanna see it again.

Im not convinced about Lithium now. They tend to crank well but wont hold charge if sitting with small load for very long.
I would get as big as possible that fits in the gap if going that direction rather than like for like size swap.
I have the BMW on charger all the time with the lithium battery. Starts well but 7 days no charge and its no start. Also the charger only loads 13.4 volts instead of the bikes 13.7 load into the battery. Maybe a better quality charger would be good.

If I got the Aprilia I would put MT wheel on and hoon and track day it so long term charge isn't important.
What model number battery have you got? The standing voltage seems a bit low. Which charger are you using?

I would still posit that fixing it is a better option

You're not supposed to leave lithium on a trickle charge, nor run them dead flat, as both things shorten their life expectancy. Sounds like it has a lot off key-off draw which is always going to cause problems if you leave it connected. You can use a storage mode charger (cuntiercorrecttechnicalterm plug) for lithium which keeps em at around 60% charge for longest life in those situations, but then you probably have to charge it up again before you ride.

charging oximiser 900 and battery is a 18amp shorai.

Could be battery charger as the bike loads battery up to 13.7 but charger only 13.4volt. Draws 7.4 milli amp standing which flattens battery in 5-7 days to the point of no start.

Went and had a look today. Battery has about 4 attempts at starting bike for 10 secs then is under voltage and wont try again.
Starts ok if battery boosted with starter unit or the bike has already been running. Its got a fairly physically small gel battery(didn't look at amps).

I would expect up around 14v on a full charge, 13.7 is okay for the bike's output but any lower is only about 80%. If you can get access to a Shorai charger, put it on that and see how it goes.

It's possible that the Optimiser is programmed to maintain at 80% which would explain it.

LAMS approved. Good bikes. Don't tell anyone I recommended a Honda though.
