Lightbulb Thinking about selling my Cbr

I am thinking about changing to a more sedate ride, but not completely convinced!
I'm looking at the fz6r just because it's a little cute, anyone have one?

My 2003 is seriously lowered, and the suspension altered by Dave moss when he visited Nz. Fits anyone one over 5" I am 5"3 and get both feet down, so if anyone is interested I before I get serious and list on trademe, or trade in, give me a yell

Oh he's a Cbr600rr which is a pirate bike, because of the rr colourful in black, always ridden in the rain, nowhere near showroom condition

Have you considered an SFV650 Suzuki?

I had a FZ6R as a loaner for a few days while mine was in for warranty repairs. I don't recommend them. You give it a bag of gas for a take off from the traffic lights and get overtaken by obese sparrows. Seriously asthmatic.

Absolutley take one for a test ride. The SV / SFV are nothing spectacular but are better bikes than the FZ I had by quite some margin.

Check out http://cycle-ergo.com/ for bikes that are height sensitive for you.

I had an SV400s, loved it to bits
Apparently the non-LAMS version of the Fz6r is significantly better than the lams choked throttle version? not sure which one you were on?

The Cbr is a whole lot of fun, winds out to a teeth chattering speed without too much encouragement, some seriously aggressive fun in the twisties. I really want a lighter bike, and don't need to break any land speed records. I also like the 675 Daytona, but again its too tall and heavy so I might as well stay with what I have

That is the first time I have seen "heavy" and "675 Daytona" used in the same sentence. FZ6R is likely to be around the same weight, possibly slightly heavier due to it being a more budget design. Doesn't look like you have many bikes to choose from as most bikes that are lighter than a 600 are either significantly less powerful (smaller CCs), higher maintenance (RS250 etc) or higher seat height (motards).

    decision made

the daytona can't be lowered quite as much as the cbr can be, apparently, so when it is full and loaded its a little top heavy - but one of my favorite bikes!

Im pretty keen to try more of a sports tourer, and am working out how to keep both the Honda and the new yammy, once it arrives!

THe SV's are brilliant, had one, loved it

I've seen a fazer 600 lowered by a lady rider up here in auckland. She found that a custom seat made a huge difference, didn't need to play with the rest of the bike too much to get her feet on the ground. The ex had a lowered gsxr600, personally, I thought it handled weird with such drastic height adjustment, didn't like being lowered that much on the front end.

600 hundy fazers are a great bike. I'm trying to remember what this lady did to it, I think it was a shaved seat, gel filled so it didn't matter being so thin. Plus the little bum pad meant you could give it hell and not slide backwards all the time.

I'm with crasher on the pics

Great looking bike and a good choice, some bikes are just made for a female frame.

    Swoon!! I wish.

When I get my full THATS what I'm getting. 5'5" so a little lowered for me too.

Juniper, there is a LAMS version if you don't want to wait, and all you need to do is change the throttle body to make it a full version later?

It is lots of fun, a little prettier than the CBR, still trying to justify two bikes, but sadly...
