On the high side but not outrageous IMO

Shame it misses the LAMS list otherwise the price would be spot on.

They were a USA model primarily, Similar to the Honda Magna 1100, Suzuki Madura, V-max, all were 'power cruisers' or traffic light drag bikes.
I owned the ZL1000 version in the mid 80's (UK).. they were fucking quick for the day, in fact was supposed to be quicker than the Max off the line, till V boost cut in.
Dont know if they were unpopular as they were a 'failure'?, or just limited numbers sold as the Max was a lot better bike overall, same happened to the Magna and Madura. I rode both Max and my Eliminator, and the Kwaka was far more comfortable, but was very long and handled like a truck round bends.

If the mileage is correct it wouldn't be far off, however, those things go around the clock quite easily & I find it a bit odd that I sold the same model a couple of months ago that I'd had for 17 years with 95,000k on it & it looked a lot tidier than that.

I have a full faired R80RT in very good condition, and also an R80 set up for gravel road work and I paid only half the asking price of the R100RS, for each one.

But it has new parts from where it was dropped! Those new OEM parts that are now used are obviously worth more than other OEM parts that are also used.
Arborist available - Will trade tree work services for bike parts or servicing! PM me...

Mate, I think all the seller is trying to say is, it was fixed properly.

Still, they are a little optimistic.

Well yeah obviously. It just doesn't add any value to the bike, nor the ad. Perhaps if it happened a month or so ago, but not a few years ago. It's the sort of thing you explain to a buyer in person to make sure you're being honest and that they know what they are getting, not something you put on the listing.

That's between $7,500 and $8,500 depending on the buyer.

$9,500 is about what I'd expect someone to list it at with those fidures in mind.

You might be right but it seems pretty optimistic compared to this or this.

It is tidy but most people buy first gen GSXR1000s because they can't afford a newer one, I can't remember the last time I saw a private seller asking more than $7k for one.
