None of the Jap 1000cc bikes do that for me and they all feel very similar.
    Do it.

It's your money. If that's what you most then that's the best bike.

Only thing I'd suggest is considering something like a V4 Tuono or MV Agusta Brutale. They can be had with some serious Italia bling but are aimed a lot further towards road (esp. NZ roads) use than the 1198.

    ZXR250 for 5200ono anyone?

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-809911061.htm

I knew the guy who owned it before this guy. He wasn't 80 years old and he thrashed the fuck out of it regularly. The bike has trouble starting most of the time and I'm pretty sure the KMs are wrong.
The guy probably only used it 5 or 6 times because it's fukt.

Oh also my friend sold it for under 2k

What does "There is a sale pending sorry" mean? He's already got a buyer lined up?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Stiil, I think I'd rather buy the ancient Kwacka 250 that the 80 year old geezer owned over one of those.

Good starting point for a top gun special.

I have the need. The need for. . . well, a parts cleaner, rotary file, buffer wheel and most importantly an eBay acct plus clean credit card.
Don't you look at my accountant.

You win. I am however, worried how you find all these auctions... Perhaps your bike needs some riding

You should totally get that though, the seller says it just needs some TLC (and maybe a junk yard/bonfire)
