    Bike stuff.

Those later model 750s were just holding time while they launched their cars. Just before the 4 valve CBs. Which were a bit shit compared to. . . Well everything else.

Kinda cool old bike. But not the money shot model. 10k would be a nice buy if you liked that sort of thing.
I thought $12. I turned one down five years ago (US import, needed going through, compliance and rego) for $6500NZ

    So along came a 10k F.

And this is an interesting example of perceived values. The last scrape of bottom of the barrel version posted before, vs the new 4V model. Undoubtedly the better bike, but not the iconic ground breaker the first model was. So, because the end of run, kinda looks like the first model, -is it worth more than the slightly older start of run model?
Depends who is squinting I guess.

worth every penny , first thing is the classic rego, means that bikes will sit in the shed registered all year around, a big plus. Looks done well, try and restore one for that, the biggest thing is the endless fuck ups outwork goes through these days, a brain drain in itself. Also people will pay more than that for a royal enfeild, and what do you get

Sorry, you missed my point, probably because I didn't frame it very well.

I was making a comparison between the 1981 F and the 1978 SOHC. The F is just fine at 10k. Could use a sidecover badge and some more photos, but seems reasonable enough if it is on the level.

So is the 3 year older bike worth twice that? Or less even? (assuming same condition for discussion sake). Just an interest in people's opinions.

Trawling through classic listings I see a lot of nicely presented bikes with strong but probably fair prices. Perhaps people feel it is time to get rid while market still has some money in their pockets.

    But then there's this.

    Dude, I'm sorry that you are ill, that must suck, but circa 10k and , well, this;
    https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/m...4?bof=obKVAx3D

These were beautiful and lemons in equal measure. You cant even see the 2nd one, but the first is concerning. First he says they are complete, need recommissioning (replacing?). Then he says no accidents.
Then he later says owner ran into a ditch. (So if that wasn't an accident, perhaps it was on purpose? )

Then he fessed up that will need tank, pump etc. You won't find that at your local Laverda dealership. . . Or a Laverda dealership.
Oh, look there's some bodywork. . . Maybe.

Someone here will probably have some angry words as they know him from the race scene.
Well great. Go offer to help him. Drag everything out and photograph it in a loose dry build so maybe someone will think this maxi project has some chance. As it is youd have to have rocks on your head to risk anything on that mystrybag assortment of parts.

This is interesting? As far as I know, you cannot transfer a govt issue plate from one machine to another…
