12 years of not using a bike between two owners is quite an elaborate setup yeah Drew?

what and why do people collect after all, stuff they were familiar with and stuff they dreamed of but couldn't afford.
the GN250 is the BSA Bantam of the modern era, look at how popular they are.

if you're talking about my bikes then you've got one thing well and truly wrong. I am not a collector, never have been and never will be, I have each of my bikes for my own reasons and enjoyment.

Don't think a GN falls into that cat sorry. If you couldn't afford a GN back when they were 2k new, prob never will be able to afford one. And BSA Bantams are not really worth much now.

Oh for sure compared to what they were new...God knows...what 500 pounds or whatever...but I don't really call $4300.00 big money.

Maybe you are confusing investor with collector. I'm a collector of quirky 60\70s Suzuki's. I only have 1. I don't intend to sell it. I will ride it. But its isn't necessary, it won't serve as a main form of transport. I'm a collector. In the same way that I found a Auss gp postage stamp with a WCM YZR500 on it I'd put in a drawer because it was too cool to throw away. Great so now I'm a stamp collector. To my shame.

You have some seriously cool bikes. And some that aren't my cup of tea, but more power to you, you buy what you want.

I sold my bantam for way more than he's asking for that GN ...

have you any idea what an army indian was like to be seen on in the old days? a 40's footchange bike still for sale new in the sixties, when the company had long since folded, now look at the place they hold in our hearts and wallets...

I have somewhere in the region of 300+ stamps with motorcycles on them.

Sorry Spyda...but I personally don't think a GN250 is ever gonna be an Army Indian in that way.

So this RSV4 has been up for a long time now. Sure its a pretty bike with lots of tasteful farkles but for $25k you can get brand new R1 which is a far better bike.

If it was $20k i would be seriously tempted. But the dealer doesnt even seem interested in selling. Multiple emails and no reply
