This guy sounds like a total dick head.

"The model has been extensively "tested" by journalist globally since its release. Go to the web.The owner will not permit "test" rides by local "experts" unless it is paid for in full. Time wasters don't bother."

Selling on behalf as well. Would be awkward as fuck when someone buys it and hops on only to realise the bike's fucked as the seller has no knowledge of the bike he's selling. That's why I hate people who do that as it's as if they are responsibility free.

I also get it's a monoposto with ohlins but for fuck's sake it's not an S or R model and is at almost 35,000kms with no information above valve clearances or cam belt changes as he's "selling on behalf"

There are cheaper and lower kms options out there! Just search "Ducati 999" on TradeMe!

That in the UK would be dirt cheap. I always walk away if test ride isn't in the offing. I mean its not a round case or a desmodecci thingy.

Haha, thats an interesting bike. Looks like its been owned by a rich git who showered it in fuck all riding and is wanking on about how good it is...
How much would it have been new?

Oh and I bet all reviews would mention how important maintenance is on these bikes...

Sssh...! That shit makes it sound fancy. Technically correct as later 749/999 models came with red painted frames and black "R" swingarms. Just don't let the seller know or else he'll raise the price by $2k.

I fuckin' hate the abuse of quotation marks.
Does he mean that the journo's were lying?
Does he mean that a "test" ride is somehow not a "test" ride?

    What a "fucking gripper".

I feel for Terblanche. He said people would get used to the look of the 999 and they did, but not before his job at Ducati had evaporated.

In the unlikely event I was considering that bike I'd be factoring in new tyres. It's not just about how much tread there is - it's also about how old they are.

I don't. He made an ugly bike. Mind you the CBR600 inspired replacement made you hanker for a Honda.

    Optimistic and Dreaming

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-962040262.htm

Someone please tell this gentlemen that a 2013 CBR250R was $6500 brand new after they announced the $1000 price drop.

Not only that, it's been overtaken by the CBR300Rs as of late and the bike is 2 years old.

So why is he trying to sell it for $6500?!

But he can confirm it is really reliable over the three tanks of gas he's put through it.
