Well networking at its best eh.
I would send an e-mail to paypal about the goods-personal thingi.

The wanker supplier obviously dose care about bad press.
    Hence the instant refund.

I don't use the word never very much but I wouldn't trade with him at all.
Remember the name of the company

Its clear that raceevolution is no good, so if we say raceevolution enough times this thread will be the top search when you look for raceevolution. Turns out raceevolution is not far from me and was going to go see raceevolution about this. Im glad raceevolution paid your money back.

This guy is pretty much a ebay reseller. His fairings he sells are most likely ordered from Auctmarts or Divinity motor, both reputiable chinese ebay sellers.

While it is a good idea for people that are aprehensive about dealing directly with China, his execution of it has been horrible. Disapointing to see that even after many years he still hasn't lifted his game.

Personally I would never buy anything from him

Quite aside from the prick's dodgy business ethics, having seen the products first hand, I can vouch for the poor quality of them.

Actually I take that back, I have seen the quallity of Divinity fairings and it was almost impossible to tell the difference between OEM.

With his history of buying the absolute cheapest possible products and marking them up exponentially, you can almost bet your life the product you are getting with be first on the "cheapest price" list on ebay. I know the bolts he sells are terrible, cast from the worst possible metal and often spray painted, not anodised. Hes also claiming to be a 100% NZ owned business when all he is really doing is acting as a broker between China and here. He also gets your order shipped directly to you from China, it doesn't go to him first to make sure its the right one, further opening himself up to critisim.

Im all for supporting NZ businesses but this isn't what race evolution is. Its a individual out to make a quick dollar at the expense of the hard working kiwi motorcyclist.

His name is unsafe to yell inside a crouded airport, therefore don't trust him. Fact

We have next to no manufacturing base here, you could apply that to most businesses in NZ, Blue Wing Honda for example... all they do is look at the US price for Hondas, double it, and push it out to dealers. No value added.

I tend to agree with you.
Im in the market for a boat trailer at the moment and am considering making one. I asked several dealer stands where abouts they get their galvanising done. None of the trailers were even made in NZ, all where brought in from China.

Then the guy had the nuts to tell me building one myself was probably beyond my ability.

I like that we have the right to axe buinesses and services here on Kiwibiker. I am banned from fishing.net.nz for life for bagging a sponsor brand. The old crusty admin even went out of his way to telephone me and threaten me with legal action. I lold

Have you tried Voyager Boat Trailers, they are in Hamilton and make a quality trailer.

Or if you build your own Perry Metal Protection do galvanising. I have used them in the past.

I believe they have a branch in Auckland as well.

I would say try pinto but I don't think they make boat ones.
The Trailer shop does Dunbier from aussie.

race evolution are not trust worthy

Im from the UK, I bought a carbon airbox for my Ducati 749R of raceevolution.conz / raceevolution.net a few months ago. After a while a member of their staff contacted me to say it is not made anymore. They promised a refund, but as always, all the excuses came out....such as 'We have to wait for our Manager to approve a refund' Now they do not respond to any emails. I bought using paypal, however, very cleverly they set it up as a 'personal payment' and not a 'goods payment'. Therefore can not open a case with paypal.

Does anyone in NZ have any idea or contacts for them. It cost me 444.00 NZD. There is not much I can do as the NZ trading standards complaints says you have to be a NZ resident, which of course Im not.

Really frustrates me how they can take your money and dissapear with it. If this was in the UK, I would certainly track them down, not as easy though thousands miles away!

Anyway, any help or advice would be appreciated. Safe Riding, keep it shiny side up.
The good news is that i complained to trademe about raceevolution and they now are not listing parts anymore. They sold me a part that they did not have and could not get manufactured. They are completely untrustworthy.
I requested the particular part and they said they could provide it. Then they sent me a order confirmation for a different part. I told them the confirmation was for the wrong part, then they said that it was all sorted. One month later, they sent me an email that the wrong part arrived and did i want the wrong part? I told them i wanted the correct part, and two weeks later they confirmed that they could not provide the part. They could never provide the part!
THROUGHOUT all of this shite, they did not appologise in any form for fucking me around. I could not believe their arrogance......

Raceevolution are very untrustworthy, and i would not suggest that anyone undertakes any business with them in any form at "trademe" or "ebay" or off their website. It simply is not worth the risk.
