Announce Offering $400-500 to get bike fixed before Friday 6 June

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...be-appreciated

This is the Situation as it has progressed.

My current situation is my suzuki NZ250 has it's engine, mostly apart, the rest needs to come apart to drain the engine after it was flooded and parts need to be checked apparently. New piston, new Cylinder and new Engine head, all to be replaced. Then the rest of the motorbike has to be put back together.

Mechanic is doing it for $600-700.00

If someone knows what they are doing and would like to help me out.... I'm pretty inexperienced and cannot do it alone, would need tools, equipment and assistance, someone to take the lead and show me what to do, in their space or mine. I'm offering
$400-500.00, for the job to be done by next Friday.

Sorry I don't understand - the job is worth $600-700 (as quoted by a mechanic, seems cheap TBH) and you want someone to come and do it for LESS than it's worth, but urgently? Are you sure you know how the world works?

BTW it's not really clear from your other thread - do you actually have the parts you need?

$500 for someone not qualified, who might have the skills to do the job?

I'd do it for $200 and a box of Heineken!

I have a courier package that needs to be delivered to Auckland. The post office is charging me $8.50 for 2-3 working days delivery.

Can someone here do an overnight delivery for me? I'll pay $5.

    Cheers

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Don't be a dick. The guy needs help, if ya read the other thread he said the mechanic is too busy to get it done in time. So he's offering to pay someone to do the job. I think he's offering good money for someone with the skills to do a perk job.

I was worried that you'd attempt to do the job after the beer, until I realised that it isn't possible to drink much more than 2 or 3 bottles of Heimiekan
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

    I love the Heinebombs mate.

But I suggest whoever does the job, takes it easy till the thing's timed up. Then it's party/jigsaw time getting it back in the bike. What could go wrong at that point?

. . . they find the replacement head is cracked as well, cause that's what they did.
. . . there's a missing smurf tube and no chance of a replacement on such an uncommon jap market 25yr old bike.
. . . parts guy got confused and supplied a GN250 gasket set so job can't be finished money not collectable.

    just sayin

Yeah, things can go wrong. But a shop wouldn't get it back in time if that were the case either. I think the money he's offering is still bloody good for a perk job, and I doubt you'd turn it down if he was in Wellington and asked you to do it.
