Elections are coming up. What are we thinking?

    Election is coming up.

Thought maybe a running poll on where peoples thoughts are at might be interesting. [admins? can people change thier minds in a poll like this? of do multi choices to modify their opinions as the election get closer?]

Political discussion will be more than welcome in this thread...But I would appreciate if moderators, disposing of slander and lies, despite their political affiliations quickly. too keep this thread from being too heated.

I consider the Greens as the 'conscience' of our parliament. Whether they are part of the ruling rabble isn't that important but we definitely need their input to stop the likes of the present government selling our country off by the tonne of coal, kg of milk solids, barrel of oil, hectare of real estate or whatever else they can turn a quick buck on before we become peasants in a sad remnant of our South Pacific paradise.

I have realised during the last term that some Polys spent a lot of their working life overseas and seem to view the world as their home and not NZ and so have no more concern about selling off jobs, land etc to overseas interests than they would shifting employment between north and south islands.
I will probably vote NZ First for all Winstons faults, because he will be a pain in the arse and knows how to sniff out a bit of rot,

Or we could fast-track the process and vote Green?

Unfortunately I have lived long enough to witness the demise of democracy in NZ ... lucky dip politics is not a good look or a satisfactory alternative!

After the dust settles from the so called result of this election some form of order may resume out of the chaos but I won't hold my breath!

I'd vote for any party that made a campaign policy, that altered school curriculum to actually prepare kids for elections.

    Other than that, National.

Well going by this poll so far, no labour but perhaps a coalition of Green, Maori, Winston, and Mana Dotcom....
