I think the Bimota Mantra still hold the title, just. It has gears and a clutch though, so the Honda probably wins full-retard honours.

Parked next to a Harley that would not look out of place.

This is the one I couldn't remember the name of, it's due to be released this year. Don't all rush your dealer at once.
The Honda design team must be smokin' some heavy shit.

Could also be well suited to a rider with limited ability to ride a geared bike. Better than a Can-am for riding feel I would guess. And not a scooter style.

I reckon it would be a great thing for someone in that situation.

The actually look Ok in the flesh. Unfortunately another example of a really good vehicle (was wondering what to call it) that Honda thought the world needed but no one actually wanted.

Take it for a test ride - just for kicks.

    I'd rather spend $12 k on the Honda than $17 k on a Burgman http://www.suzuki.co.nz/Motorcycle/Scooter/Burgman+650/

is that bike designed to compete with their F6B? Near identical except the engine. Weird Honda.

That bike and the F6B Valkyrie have to have been designed with the American market in mind. They would fit right in over there.

The F6B is a shame though, the old Valkyrie looked like a motorbike and showed the engine off to good effect. The new one looks about as much like some sort of household appliance as a bike, waste of a lovely engine. Never mind, Casey Stoner says he loves it.

What is it with Honda indeed.

...a friend has one of those big cruiser type scooter/motorcycles...his stable of machinery is fairly much that of a man who has ridden for many years and he has beautiful old Brit iron and big modern Jappy stuff to play with...he turns up a lot on the scootery thingy, 'cos he reckons apart from the non engine breaking on downhill bits, it's as much or more fun than all his other toys...whatever floats 'yer boat...men of some cultures seem to prefer women with fantastically big posteriors, so big that lots of us would run a thousand klicks to get away from them...
