Is my new bike lams approved?

I have just bought a 1988 honda vfr r400 and was wondering how different the vfr400 is compared?

The vfr400 is not lams approved but there was no sign of the vfr r? are they the same bike?

    Cheers.

I believe the RVF400 is Lams but all models of the VFR400 are not. Could be wrong but thats my understanding.

NO VFR motorcycles are on the LAM's list.

VFR400 won't make it on the list because they are 59hp, and exceed the power to weight ratio limit for LAMS.

RVFs are on the list because they were released after power limits changed in Japan, and are only 53 hp.
