    Another Wellington K100 bike mod/custom

Must be something in the water but Im another doing a K100 custom in Wellington.
Taking a slightly different path to Mossy but still similar in lots of ways.
My donor bike cost me $0.00!
It has been lying in a shed for the last 4 plus years after being crashed by a previous owner and is looking rather sad and neglected. Picked it up and took it to my workshop, dusted off the cobwebs etc, put a jumper lead to the battery terminal and she fired up! She ran really smooth but I didn't want to give it a good run due to old fuel and possible crap in the tank etc, but at least I know its a runner.
Mine was/is also and RS but the fairings were non existent and the dash was full of water. I mean FULL of water. Slightly bent RH fork, LH footpeg mount and gear lever broken, cracked front disk and dented front rim. But what do you expect for free?
    So far I have purchased
    1. New Front Rim
    2. Solo Seat and Tail piece
    3. New Rear Brake Pedal

The seat in interesting. It bolts straight on and was made in Japan by a company called Motoco in the 80's. Not 100% set on it but its different to the usual cafe style seat.
    To date I have
    1. Stripped ot the tail and exhaust pipe
    2. Removed the front wheel & forks
    3. Removed the huge foot peg brackets

Its slowing taking shape as I'm limited with time right now. That will change shortly but Im in no rush really.
Will try to keep this thread up to date with what I'm up to.

Theres a guy on K100 forum that has made a speedo conversion board to add relays that run the neutral start systems etc.
    Very cheap $25 USD.
You will want it or make it unless you want to have to engage clutch to start the bike.

    Thanks for that.
Im looking at an Acewell Speedo and like the look of this one. The price seems reasonable and the report on the seem good. Will have to run a wheel sensor and not run the gearbox sensor but from what I have heard that's not an issue. I will look into this relay. You grabbing one Mossy?

If'n you are, I could be interested. I wonder if he'd do a bulk buy deal ??

I have one of these to install, when I get the courage up to tackle the wiring

I am most likely to get the same acewell speedo.
There is a very low profile electronic speedo I like but I think it was 450pounds.
Yes hes about to start making another batch.
Without it some functions wont work as the k100 speedo contains relays that run a few items.
The main one is the neutral position relay. The bike will start without it but only when the clutch switch is engaged so even when bike is in neutral you would need pull clutch in.

I don't think he will go lower than the $25 Canadian but combined freight would help.

    A bit dissapoointed

Started to strip back the tank today. Was gutted to find so much bondi in it. Was looking at clear coating the alloy but by the look of it that will have to change.
Anyway new drag bars, bar end mirrors, some carbon fibre bits and headlight should arrive this week so that will cheer me up.

The sizing model is on my thread. Its with oversized header pipes and the final items will have the same pattern as the pipes formation which isn't square. Hes starting mine now but can do a few at the same time if you email him.
