When I was a young fella my Friday night loop use to be,
-Sawyer Motorcycles ( when they was on Taranaki st )
-Wgtn Motorcycles
-British Motorcycles & spares ( quickly pop into the Prince of Wales Tavern )
-Boyles Motorcycles
I would dream about the day of owning whatever was in the window then the following Friday do it all again.....
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass
Was a great arvo seeing so many faces that've been around the Welly bike scene for so long!
I can remember my Father taking me there on numerous occasions when it was Lawton & Boyle in the 50,s. He used to race against was it Dick Lawton in the pre war days. Dad had a KSS Velocette bought in Wellington new in 1934. I still have the sister bike that was bought at the same time and raced by Morrie Proctor.
was away that weekend ,was highly annoyed i missed it.We all getting grey now!
Quite a few familiar faces there, Friday nite tuning sessions at Boyles were legendry - always a worry riding home after tho
If you're not living on the edge you're not leaning over far enough
