Getting a 50cc from Albany to CBD?

So I am required to transport a 50cc scooter from Albany to the Auckland CBD, but am stuck on which route to take.

I know I cannot take it across the Harbour Bridge, but my question is whether or not I can go across the Upper Harbour Motorway for what would be 2.5km or so? Otherwise I'd have to go out through Coatesville/Riverhead?

Anyone have pointers on which route to take?

Seriously, H16 would be your best bet. I did this route a fortnight ago on my scooter. Just sit back and enjoy the views. It wont take as long as you might think.

You've answered your own question. It's a motorway. Same rules apply.

Put it on the back of a ute or in a van. If you don't have one, drag it behind a car.

I used to just go over the greenhithe bridge back when I was a young fella. Are you not allowed over that way now? Been over the harbour bridge a couple of times on my cb50 and an fa 50, but would not advise it these days, too many pommy coppers around.

That forms part of the new Upper Harbour Highway, a 4-lane motorway that opened a couple of years ago. Knob.

Fuck that, suppose all those good growing places just before the bridge are gone now then.

I would go over the harbor bridge but late at night (like 1AM late) and get on at Onewa Rd and get off on Shelly beach rd.

*Ask a mate that has a car with a towbar to lend you it, buy them a box of beers,
*Go to supercheap auto and get some ratcheting straps, or even Sunnys in browns bay has cheap straps
*Hire a trailer from the petrol station for around $50
*Put scooter on trailer, strap it down and you're off!

We fitted a scooter bit larger than a jog into a honda CRV once too.
