    Waiheke island travel option

Hi guys I am doing a trip to waiheke island with the girlfriend and I was wondering can I hire a scooter for both of us to travel around on? I'm on my learners though.
What is a good place to hire something if scooter isn't an option? I have no idea where to start looking as the websites for hire vehicles suck to navigate online.

unless you're being a dick, and even if you are, the chances of you running into either of the cops on waiheke is slim.

Scooter hire is at the passenger ferry terminal. Only need a car licence to ride one. Tell the girlfriend to rent her own.

I got these ferry tickets so I can't take the bike anyways. I need to be able to hire something on the island.

She won't want to ride one on her own. I was thinking of hiring one of those double scooters they have but was wondering if anyone knew of any good companies to contact. Pity the cars with the Fun Rentals company always seem to be fully booked out

25 years ago wtf did they even have roads on waiheke island back then

A lot of gravel roads back then...and then along came Auckland and started sealing them. I haven't been back for 15 years, and would be a bit sad if I did I think.
