Anyone passing through Te Aroha Sat morning can give me a lift?

No bus service on the weekend... in this little rural town.
I have to get to Morrinsville to pick up my little KTM 400......
If anyone is passing through at 9 am approx...I will be thumbing it!
    Thank you

It's only about 20km's. You should be able to walk it in a couple of hours.

Best way to do anything, is to start. See what happens from there. I'm sure you will get a ride.

Well, that went well. I left the house at 0800, was home with the bike before 0940 !
I got a ride through to Tatua and then waited for two minutes, got a ride straight through to Morrinsville....
A nice way to meet people and overall a very satisfying experience...

    Gonna do it again...

Well this time I am keen to pick up a bike from the Mainland that I haven't even bought yet!
Impulsive you say, stupid maybe, but....

The thing is, the price of the airfare was $55 so I grabbed it....
I still have all day to get to the big smoke, that city over the Bombay's that causes stress and mayhem to all who travel there..
Method in my madness I know, but as Air NZ changes their prices like a whore changes her knickers! I went for it...
The price is right, the divining rods say so, it has to be...
So...what am I going to get? Wait and see, the auction has a few days to go....
If I win I will put the kids into the kennel, fly down and spend a few days travelling north through the lesser known roads the south has to offer...

    Fingers and toes crossed!
If anyone sees me on the side of the road around Wed 7th January earlyish....give me a toot as you pass or better still, stop and take me north...
The date was dictated by my tight arse...
    Cheers!

This is the beginning of my summer ride report, the gaps will be filled in due course.

Gotta love our National airline..Never seen it that low.

$55, one way! I sprung for the 23kg luggage, another $10...
Just checked the website now. Same day, same time .....$89...

Lucky you, booking well in advance. I don't exactly like them, but I like Jetstar a lot less.

Price shifted $30 overnight from Monday to Tuesday... and now still at Tuesday's price. Give you a guess which price I got Almost 4 times what you paid... not much choice tho...

    Bugger mate...
I guess at the end of the day if I lose the auction, I have only lost this small price. If I won the auction and then scrambled for a flight to uplift the bike, I would be in your shoes..
Admittedly, I had a few beers and thought what the hell!

Okay, just a few days to go...

    Bus - Bus - Plane - Motorbike - Ferry.....

Sort of in that order. All of that to pick up this!
I know which leg of the journey is going to be the best bit...
Which route to take back home is the conundrum...?
