    Great drag race

Three of the best vehicles produced IMO in one great race. Closer than I thought.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Na but seriously, that was a good race. Bike won 0-150mph and standing mile times.

How many bikes can legitimately reach 200mph? The Ducati has plenty enough power to afford to lose a tooth or 2 on the rear for a bit extra top end, might have got to the 200mph mark, but might have been slower the rest of the race.

    Isn't the answer NONE?
Because of the standing Agreement is to Electronically limit them to 299k (186MPH) no matter what the gearing (as the wrong reason mentioned in the Vid)

You will see lots of these vids of Unrestricted hot cars dragging of ZX10's, CBR's etc on the Autobahn.
Wait till the Turbo Kwaka gets a few sold there will be heaps more of Audis etc leaving it for dead to.

Bikes Factory limited to 299 and thats it.

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

For the most part, gearing seems to be aimed to redline at about 299km/h anyway. So gearing change, exhaust and power commander..... Now what are the chances of a 200mph bike?

Side note, a bike with an after market exhaust and power commander. On a dyno they can run through the rev range, adjust fueling at all revs in each gear.... How can they account for the effect of ram air? At 200km/h it would almost act like a turbo.

    No.
A dyno is never a fair test of a engines power output compared to the real world. Its been proven time and time again that a stock busa will not reach 200mph, even with a pipe and basic ECU mods it can barely reach 190 (192 max in stock format in aus???). Motogp and Isle of man, yes of course they will reach 200mph but thats what you get when you have millions of R&D piled into one bike (Motogp).

Aslong as the new Kawa h2 ECU can be hacked, it will probably make 200mph.
Is 200mph really practical though? or is it just a goal some of us want to reach?

yes it will produce more horsepower at any given rev range but Doesnt matter what you put on if the on board computer limits fuel supply you'll only get 299. I would guess the ecu measures air from the ram tubes and supplies the correct amount of fuel up to when the speedo hits 299.

Sounded like that ZX10r in my post had a little more if didnt hit the wall at 299??
But NA not practical at all it just not quite fair that they compare a limited bike to an unlimited car and say they are faster.
Not apples with apples if you know what I mean lol
