The last time I bothered to look at 911 (which was a while ago admitedly) there was a bit of 'oh yeah we could have done things better, but at the time blah blah blah, and process blah blah blah'
kinda like they were downplaying how much they cocked up - my personal belief is that the cockup/incompetence was much more than they are prepared to admit and it was just that, as opposed to being ignored so as to have justification for war.
I will stay with my 1.5 opinion I should also point out at this point that I am unlikely to read any further on it due to my weariness of the 911 saga (the official side, the American media hype, the conspiracy theories etc.)
