The MG CC people are a nice bunch. Quite a few of them like me own modern sports cars. I also like most of the Landrover owners, most of them are "as mad as a meat axes".
I personally don't click well with any of the american car clubs. I have never felt entirely comfortable with them. I almost got in a punch up whan I was stuck between two big yank cars on the rivers run in Chch and asked if there was any truith in the saying "the bigger the car the smaller the dick?". I was in a MG midget at the time.
Yeah, totally agree with the first paragraph.
I met a bunch of LR owners when I spent a year driving around Australia in an old Landy, they were all very helpful (albeit a bit odd in a couple of cases) when they found out what I was up to.
Me neither. Hence not belonging to any car clubs at all here in NZ. Do you think you might have started something there (keep in mind it takes 62 IQ points to tie shoe laces, and 94 IQ points to have a sense of humour - 94 IQ points might have been a stretch for some of the car guys).
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
