The MG CC people are a nice bunch. Quite a few of them like me own modern sports cars. I also like most of the Landrover owners, most of them are "as mad as a meat axes".

I personally don't click well with any of the american car clubs. I have never felt entirely comfortable with them. I almost got in a punch up whan I was stuck between two big yank cars on the rivers run in Chch and asked if there was any truith in the saying "the bigger the car the smaller the dick?". I was in a MG midget at the time.
Yeah, totally agree with the first paragraph.

I met a bunch of LR owners when I spent a year driving around Australia in an old Landy, they were all very helpful (albeit a bit odd in a couple of cases) when they found out what I was up to.

Me neither. Hence not belonging to any car clubs at all here in NZ. Do you think you might have started something there (keep in mind it takes 62 IQ points to tie shoe laces, and 94 IQ points to have a sense of humour - 94 IQ points might have been a stretch for some of the car guys).

This thread is useless without pics. Power to weight is everything - next time you stop a Fraser or Lotus 7, ask for a ride, you'll be shocked how fast they are...

While I have a little experience with 260/289/302's, I have a whole lot of love for 351 Windsors. They make a great basis for a fast project, bigger mains, head bolts, easier to make power - and basically bolt in compared to the 289/302. Deck height is everything since you can't bore them. I'm looking for a donor 351w for a rotating assembly I have sitting in my shed. While we're at it, anyone know of a 429/460 that needs some internal stuffing?

So... If some of these retards are laughing, don't ask them to simultaneously tie their shoelaces?

Wow. I need to think about this. I'm assuming that 62 IQ points are required for a single activity of trying shoe lacing, and that single RAM available at that point can't multi-task. But, I may have got this wrong. It might mean they can laugh, drink beer, make lots of thug babies - with perhaps 3 IQ points (because of hard coding) - and then 62 for the shoelaces meaning a total requirement of 65.

Ma'am, without massive sweeping generalisations and the f-word I'd be totally lost for words and unable to write anything on this incredibly factual forum.

Its the speed they carry through corners that is the most impressive aspect.

Neat looking Lotus. Correct colour as well.

The math works pretty well for a 521 with the Kaase Boss Nine heads, I think they're too big flow wise for a 460 - I've got a mate who is building a twin turbo set up for this combination, he's seeing around 800hp normally aspirated. You don't need that much boost with a big motor, 8-10 PSI is about the limit. I've helped build a couple of LS7's with turbos, they respond very well, they're very easy to build power with. By "helped", I mean I've done the donkey work with someone good watching over me...

What are the 429 and 460 in?

Number of times my Harley has broken down in 6 years.....?. Zero.
Is that because it won't start?
