Some people want to be robbed and should get it tattoo'd on their forehead. Like I said, it could've gone either way in this day and age. I'm getting old, I'm an easy target. I try to be smart, and work the situation to my advantage. The kind of bikes I mess with are fairly rare, and we are a small community, and you usually know someone, who knows who you are dealing with. I take steps to minimize the damage that can be visited upon me. Only thing I can say if you are going into a situation. Take control of the meeting place, meet in daylight where there are lots of John Q. Public around, try and bring a friend or two, if buying online, have extensive conversations with the seller, if it sounds to good to be true, it is. have a weapon of some type that you are familiar with and can access hurriedly. I kept the 9 MikeMike under the seat, even though I can carry it on my person legally concealed. I think to carry it in that situation was unwarranted as I changed the meeting place and no need to elevate something that does not exist. Lastly, never start trouble, just finish it. There is a reason I am still able to do so at 60 plus years old. I have demonstrated to the legal authority that I am not a hot head over an extended period of time. Daddy used to say,"If you carry a weapon, you think up reasons to use it" and he was right. My government actually sent me on a trip to Asia for my High School graduation trip. I have seen close up and personal what men can do to each other with weaponry. It ain't pretty. I am very reluctant to enter that realm again under any circumstance. I can see how kids who play video games can romanticize such situations, but it is not something you ever care to witness. I view (firearms) them as insurance policies. In civilian life I have never had to employ one in such a manner up to this point.
jesus fucking fuck. I will give you my old keyboard, for free, it has an ENTER key on it. make use of it son.

Didn't you know feet and legs are the biggest shoe thieves out there. Got to protect your shit.

Those clips are only second to the ones with people either holding the butt right out from their shoulder or the geniuses who think it's a good idea to shove an eye socket right up into the scope...

Magnum eyebrow can be a common affliction among users of large calibre rifles. Especially common in people who take uphill shots with magnums.
And no I'm far too polite to laugh - but I did smile when they weren't looking.

it doesn't matter what you vote. possessing a weapon capable of fully automatic fire is illegal without a C cat firearms license in nz.

In your world 'illegal' did not appear to matter. E cat for MSSA is all I was pointing out.

    Glad I don't use facebook.

    Be careful folks.
I am sure this was the 2014 (or was it 2013?) KTM 125sx that was advertised on fb only. (Was only there for a couple of hours before deleted and so also the sellers profile) They are worth between $6K - $8K. The 'seller' had it on there for $2,500 and there was huge interest... He was asked re VIN and motor number but never replied. People were thinking it was surely stolen. One poster mentioned that the picture of the bike was almost surely not taken in NZ based on hose fitting, fence type, a door etc. that could be seen in the picture. A friend of his also posted on there stating that it was not stolen, that he only needed quick cash... When one looked at his profile and the pictures he did not come across as a MX riding type. There was street gang pictures a plenty....

fb is NOT setup for 'buy and sell'. There is no checkup on the facts of the seller (or buyer). Currently there is a couple of sites that have things in place so you have some security: Trade Me and Motorcycle Alley. I also strongly recommend that you deposit the money in to an account for tracing. If the seller demands cash make sure you have support with you and do the deal in a place where there is people.

It's legal for anyone to own a handgun here... unless you're an alien, (foreigner.)
It's also legal to blow someone's head off if they enter your property without being invited. (AFAIK)

And as there was a bunch of 'bling' bits on the bike it all started to sound too good to be true...
