Bummer he wasn't a tourist, otherwise could have taken the keys.

If you want to ask the director of the company about their policy on mobile phone use while driving, his email is: warrick@buildezy.co.nz

    That escalated quickly

Question to the rider (OP?) - why bother instigating it, were you expecting a different outcome?

Not me, sportsbikes are for posers.

For what it's worth what you said is exactly what I said when I first saw this video.

After watching video, I did wonder why not just hand the video over to the police with an "information" and not engage with the driver. In the old days if you laid an "information" then it had to be investigated... does that still happen?

    Bring on unmarked police bikes...

Had a couple before I ruined them, currently busy ruining another one now but it's proving more difficult, being a dual sport. Haven't met a bike I can't break yet though.

The guy is an embarrassment to motorbiking, classic example of why joe blogs should leave policing to the police. He's lucky that guy didn't bitch slap beat him, you really don't want to be in a fight with leathers and a full face helmet on...
Not to mention that he himself did two improper moves putting himself in danger. And operating a vehicle in noisey manner by unneeded angry engine rev, $600 fine...
I'm so sick of crap like this appearing in my news feeds from self appointed 'expert drivers'...

    So the score is:
    Van driver - using phone, 1 x undertaking, 1 x disorderly behaviour.
    Biker - 2 x improper manoeuvre, 1 x noisey use of vehicle, 1 x obstructing traffic, 1 x disorderly behaviour instigating confrontation.

Not to mention riding/owning sports bike which in all likeliness means regular breaking of speed limits by large margins....

I'd be tempted to give the bike a nudge if some arsehole do gooding hypocritical motorbike twat with a camera did that. What an arse, and now another motorist out there who is anti bikes coming past him traffic. Mind you, I did nearly shit myself when he revved the bike, that was scary.

Then I see it was in Christchurch, and that explains it. The old boy was probably his biological father or something.

I dunno - Armoured gloves make pretty good knuckle dusters, Chest protectors are great for stopping punches and a full face helmet is good protecting against a split lip

Bit rich coming from someone in the grey area where the transition from life to death would be barely noticeable.
