    Reason 2: Moar LOUD!

lol. I like having a noisy bike when I'm riding in traffic, filtering and splitting and whatnot, but when it's 5am and I'm starting the bike up and riding up the driveway past the landlord's house... quieter is better... So that, plus financial reasons, is why I still have a factory exhaust on my bike for the time being.

But I love the sound of the MT09 with Akrapovic - sans DB killer - , and spitting flames and crackling and burbling on over-run is beautiful!

(Less likely to have a clown in a cage suddenly decide to change lanes into your path because she hasn't seen you; she'll have heard you coming. (See Royal Jordanian on Youtube riding his noisy Nuda for reference on this point.))

I'll try it with and without the db killer. Don't want it to be over the top loud, so I'll see how it goes.

I live in the country & mainly use the bike for day rides, don't use it for commuting, too many cops about ready to give you a ticket if bike is too noisy
It does sound good with db killer out tho

Congrats fellow MT09 rider. Sure is a hell of a lot of fun and lots of rooms for upgrades if you're that way inclined. I bypassed the Akra and settled on a carbon Yoshi which I'm very pleased with.

As mentioned prior post, only bugbear is the smallish fuel tank.

Are you guys able to put some links up of the other exhaust systems available for the MT09?

So have the MT-09 owners heard about this? http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/608/24...torcycles.aspx

There have been a few of these of late. Harley have a big recall going in the States and KTM have recently announced one. The last one I heard about in this country was going by another name. Almost any other name, as long as it wasn't 'recall'.

Check out www.gravesmotorsport.com/Yamaha-FZ-09 and follow the links, remember the States call them FZ09
