Outlaying extra cash for diamonds to augment the girl of your dreams is far more rewarding than forking out for extra pies to keep an old porker from fainting. Every adventure riding bloke should have at least one date with the Heidi Klum of Dual Sport motorcycles.....you deserve it, go for it, just this once....ya know you want to....do it....do it

LOL I nearly got married to a Heidi in real life but that's another story...

Yes I agree but I also clicked through to the 500 EXC Six Days http://www.ktm.com/nz/enduro/500-exc...l#.VTNfSmccSUk (assume you can road legal these) which would have to be the Anne Julia Hagen of dual sport bikes
But I do like a woman/bike that is there for the long haul and low maintenance so the Beemer and the Trumpys are still in the running...

500 EXC is an awesome bike, just mist out on one myself but happy with the 530. They are not no maintenance bikes but used for adventure duties are hardly the needy girl friend either and they are waaay easy to work on. There's no point in buying one though, if your only planning to slab and gravel it....the porkers will do that way better. As for me I've done the big heavy high HP adventure bike thingy and now find the nimbler thoroughbreds far more interesting

What you could do is get and fully sort a 690 or 500EXC then ride it to scratch the itch, then sell it real cheap to someone in HB who can appreciate its pedigree and yes the 500 sixday is road legalabler

Are you factoring in for the after-sale "service and back up"?
Aprilia and Triumph are in a league of their own, on that count...

Yes that is important, I see the nearest official Euro-trash dealership is two hours away.... Think we have a Aprilia/Triumph dealer if they rebuild after the fire...
Will have to investigate the mandatory Farke costs for each model too... sweet jesus can someone make a bike that doesn't need modifying after you buy it!
