Umm, so why not put the bag of grain between you and the tank?

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

    It wouldnt sit there.
I miss supersports bikes and their flat tanks. Ideal for boxes of beers and the occasional trip with an xbox.

    Never again.
Learning to change gear without the clutch is a useful skill to have.

Didnt want to have to change down in gear without the clutch if I can avoid it.

It'a a long time since I've seen one of those big bottles that beer used to come in. You could get six in a cardboard box.

Once I bought a half-dozen and put it in the very basic back pack that I owned at the time to ride the ten miles home. Before I was half way home both arms and hands had gone completely numb. Numbness doesn't inspire confidence.

Backpacks are more sophisticated these days but panniers trump them anyway.

I would have thought a sack of grain would "form" around a tank? even a tear drop.
I have had occasions to do just that with 5kg a sack of rice.
P.S. also mean resting on the seat not the top of the tank.

I'm surprised I haven't been pulled up riding through Akl city with the case of beer on my tank yet. I just lean forward and steady it with my beer belly.

It is quite pretty really - the whole circle of life thing. The offspring of the beer supporting the new beer into the world......

Had a friend carry 5 boxes of beers on his tank once. Not well advised, but it worked.
