    Hello everyone, petrol question

Hi Guys, I just bought my first bike, is a Harley 2000 xl883, I have been hearing different opinions about fuel so my question: is unleaded 91 ok for this bike? what could happen if load another fuel? is that gonna blow the engine?

    Thanks guys

I believe Harly Davidson shares the same engine from John Deere tractors. Diesel should work just fine.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Haha! 91 is fine unless you raise the compression ratio, when it's better to go to 95 or 98.

You won't hurt the engine regardless except if you used the Ethanol blend.

You may not notice any difference though if you did try a higher octane fuel.

Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

    Ya mad buggers

As Mr Bear said, 91 wil be fine - 98 theoretically might make it a little quicker - but I don't believe most of us would notice the difference .. especially on a harley, which are not known for perfomance ...

Why are Harley's like german Shepherds?

They both like riding around on the back of pickups ...

    (I'd like a Harley - one day, when I'm old enough, I might get one .. )

On 91, a Harley will still make the potato potato potato potato potato noise.

On 98, a Harley upgrades to a much tastier kumara kumara kumara kumara kumara noise.
