    Announce Honda Hornet 250cc

Seriously looking to buy Honda Hornet or similar 250cc as my first bike.

If you have one for sale, PM or call me 021 675 075.

I am in the city this week, if you have a tidy bike for a good price and can come by and show me I am ready to make an offer.

    Cheers,
    Kieran

What sort of price range. Apologies if you stated in your listing. We can't see that on tapatalk.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Good deal on one down south at the moment. Let your fingers do the searching, because I'm to lazy to do it for you

    Success!

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Just bought a '96 Hornet. Looks great when she's wet:

Perfect 250, I like the look of the new VTR but the Hornet is right on the money.

Thanks for the nice comments all! I failed to notice these until now because my notification settings mustn't be set up right. Will try fix.

Coincidentally, I am considering selling my baby...need the funds to fix up a POS I bought still hemorrhaging money in to. Let me know if anyone's interested.

Be careful of those small displacement multiple cylinder bikes they tend to wear fairly quickly and are given a hard life. Small engines that rev to 16000rpm are going to give eventually even on a Honda. They are also very expensive to fix and source parts for as they are a Jap hormogulation bike never sold with a warranty in NZ. I'm guessing youre talking about the 01 Cb250f you had on Trademe. My advice would be to check electrical systems first Eg Stators/Reg Rectifier possibly CDI unit. Fixing older bikes is a pain in the arse so I do sympathize with you.

Because it's false economy to spend money on a lemon?

Keep the dud for parts. if the motor is like Spanner thinks it is the bike has no value.

Swap all the real tidy bits onto the 96 and have one really nice bike.

Lol unfortunately the 01 build quality is lesser than 96 so really not much improvement to be had... yes i probably should sell it.. just hurts to lock in the loss without knowing it's necessary. owes me about 3500 atm so if i can get it running right it would be about break even, versus a 1k write off *cries*
