Normally bank transfer or cash innit?
I got offered $6-7K as a trade in once, they advised me to put the bike on TM if I wanted more, which I did and got $9K cash for it.

"cash" refers to paper money, its quite handy for not declaring to your accountant.

as others have said it generally means they have the cash ready to give you or transfer. When was trying to sell my old car i kept getting offers to pay it off etc. First one that said they had the cash i accepted there offer for it.

I always list more then what i will accept - most people do apart from the perfect trolls on the optimistic sellers thread.....

I once saw an ad for a bike I seriously wanted, I had about $5500 to play with, could have gone higher, but didn't want to borrow money. The bike advertised for $6000ono, so I emailed the guy "Would you consider $5000? I have the cash now". His reply was along the lines of fuck off, stop wasting my time blahblah... So no I didn't buy his bike, if he replied that was too low, I would have counter offered $5500. Just because someone low balls you, doesn't mean you need to block them, tell them to fuck off or something stupid. They're just trying to save a couple hundred bucks. They've made an offer with money they have, if you are nice enough back, you could counter offer them, they could get more cash and pay what you want for it. If someone can afford $5000, they can afford $6000.

Sometimes asking a few questions allows to to determine whether youre actually keen on something. better to ask a question and deide against it, tan travel 200km to make the same call

conversely, you might have missed out on a minter just because you thought the guy was a cunt -goes both ways I guess. I try to look at the goods and the price - I dont care if the seller is a fuckwit, Im not buying their friendship!

Valid point, however I try to avoid interacting with fuckwits wherever possible, it just leads to pain afterwards.

An example of this was selling my son's motorbike which was functioning perfectly when it left our property, fuckwit who purchased it I can only assume managed to flood the thing trying to start it with the choke on (doesn't fucking work that way, told him when he bought it), who then proceeded to send me 30+ text messages while I was on holiday in Australia the cost of which ended up on my phone bill.

Avoid the fuckwits, much less pain later.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

The cash offers issue has been cleared up a little this week.
Now I'm getting offers to swap for shithouse cars.
