As to original question. If someone offers a grand, take it and run.

I'd look to $1 aucun it.
Without rising it and based entirely on your words and pics? $100 -1000 with wof and reg.
Make sure you get a signed note accepting as is where is else you might find yourself in small claims if running rough turns into it doesn't go.
Personally I wouldn't pay more than 200 if I was looking at it because by your own admission this needs to go to someone happy to live with the bus or give up every weekend sorting it.

You might get 1k if you hold onto it long enough. More if you are a little less open about the faults but it might be beget karma just to move it on. No doubt whoever bus out won't know much about bikes.

As for why it's still fucked, because he's been checking shit as we find problems instead of actually just doing a decent check of everything :/

And half the time he just can't be stuffed looking at it.
That should tell you why no offers of chips if even your motorcycle mechanic dad doesn't want to help.

Good to see my first experience in these forums being a good one.
No credence required, he doesn't own a bike and makes an offer on any bike he sees for sale, should you make personal contact with him, that herpes comment could come true, so... ''fools rush in'' etc.

If it was in Auckland or at least te Awamutu and points north I'd take it off your hands for $200.
I have a son looking for a project bike. Be a great way to spend some time with him.
