Question Hyosung GT250 stiff gear lever

So I'm looking at a 2006 Hyosung GT250, with 41,000 ish km's on it. I took it for a test ride today and the gear lever was incredibly hard to shift. I know that Hyosung's have some issues with finding neutral but it seems more than that, and it's way more difficult to shift than my previous bike (Yamaha Scorpio). Wondering if that's normal or if it's easy to fix?

Also does anybody have any recommendations for naked sports bikes in the 250cc range other than the Hyosung?

VTR250? Ninja 250 and you take off the fairings after you bin it?

I quite like the look of the VTR250, so I'll keep that in mind. Not the biggest fan of the ninja seating position, prefer the more upright.

How much do you want to spend?

Have you looked at the Hyosung X4 or the Suzuki GW250 ?

Any signs of the bike being dropped? A bent shifter shaft could make changing gear difficult.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
