You'd probably see it about with a satin black RSV4

Bike is already due its first service following a return trip to Welly via highway 35

    Only issues:

The ABS has no comprehension of gravel. It simply won't let you stop. It keeps "anti-locking" for the last 10/15kph or so when you try to come to a halt.

On 91 octane fuel is shit as fuck. It was all I could get out at the cape, at $1.95 a litre!

Rear tyre is wearing pretty hard in the middle. Will be swapping for a Pirelli Angel GT once it is done.

But hey, I'm nit picking. The bike is goddam incredible. The 4th gear torque overtaking holy-shitness is mind-blowing.

It sure is - I personally run mine on 95/98 - cause that is what the owners manual says to use.

And if you think 4th gear overtaking is Mind-blowing - wait till you hit the Power-band in 4th (at about 150-160 Kph) and you feel the bike really start to shift, it is literally like someone turns on a set of rocket boosters.

Thats what I have heard. They have great HP and torque. HP is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you travel through it.

I am selling the 08 Busa I have owned from new and thinking of the GSX S1000F as next bike. Having read some of the comments in this thread now thinking 1) should I keep the Busa, 2) if not is the GSX S1000F the right next bike?
    Here for the ride.

Keep the Busa unless you have a good reason not to.

Bearing in mind I can't decide for you:

Why are you selling - is it because you want something new and different, your current bike is no longer meeting your needs or have your circumstances changed?

I've heard great things about the GSX-S (especially that 12,000 Km Service interval).

Once you know the reason you are thinking of selling, then we can discuss.

Te araroa - I don't doubt that it was probably shocking and had been sitting there for months.

Honestly, the first time I hit it, I thought I was in a VTEC. Absolutely incredible!

    Congrats on the new ride.

being a K1200S owner, I can tell you these things are a lot of fun. If ever buying one you need to get an 07 up as the previous versions had some ABS issues that they sorted in 07 with a completely new ABS system. I can tell you I have done 18,000km in 8 months with zero issues. just a lot of fun.

You need to work up to a full throttle run through the gears. The rate of acceleration overwhelms the senses for the first few exercises - it is wonderful.

I know everyone else hates the colour.

Personally, it was the only colour I wanted! (or maybe white....)

It may be hereditary though - mum phoned up the other day saying she couldn't decided between red and yellow for a Honda Jazz
