If you towel yourself dry first, then sprinkle yourself with some baby powder, it will absorb excess moisture and prevent nappy rash.
Otherwise it may be quicker and easier just to get some gear with inner linings that can be removed and washed separately (Dri-Rider do some). If you get some spare helmet padding, you can swap that around so you always have a fresh set of padding too.
take a spare set of clothes and a towel and a beanie.
nothing worse than chucking your jacket and pants on over your warm, sweat soaked gym gear and riding home ,and getting that chill through your gear as your sweat goes cold and your nuts are stuck to the inside of your leg...

Bike is my daily. I use it to get to gym etc.
I have an open face helmet for hot days, wear lighter gear, wash head and face after a hard session. It isnt rocket surgery.
If you plan to go to sports straight after work, youll also save plenty of time in traffic on two wheels.
