Questions for Aprilia Tuono 1000 APRC owners

What range are you getting from a tank and how reliable are you finding these?

FYI there was an update at some point. The first few years came with smaller tanks, then they started fitting bigger tanks. Aprilia has done that a few times.

For the 2014 model year, various refinements including a larger 18.5 l fuel tank, more comfortable saddle, and 3 position race ABS brakes were introduced.
I still have a soft spot for this one, and rode my boss's one a couple of times (with Akra pipes). I think this model also had a change in fuel tank size mid life. Bear in mind these are Italian bikes, and Aprilia will never pick fuel economy over sound, feeling, performance. They're Italians. That said, I think when you ride them properly the economy goes from not good to drinking problem but it's supposed to be the last thing you care about.

Just read up and did a bit more googling. Looks like a decent change in 14 with fueling and motor changes along with ABS, bigger tanks and suspension changes.

Man that video is lame .... give it some stick.

Mate owned one - when you needed a refuel it was time for a bum stretch anyway.

    Buy one you'll love it.

I've got the 1100 Factory version, I think it has about a litre more in the tank than the older models. The manual says it holds 18.5. I get about 190 - 200k before the warning light which leaves 4 litres reserve. I seem to get about 7.1 litres/100k open road (not thrashing it but some curvy stuff), and about 8.5 going to work. Not great but it is a lot of fun.

If fuel economy worries you buy a Toyota Vitz.
