    Gentlemen, the word you are looking for is "licence" - a noun, meaning a permit or a permission to undertake some activity having shown you have the required skills to undertake that activity. That part is the licensing part...

    Yes, you can also still ride the bike.
    BUT: If you get pulled over and have your license checked you will be in big trouble.
    i.e. get caught doing it and you will be in for a bad day!
