    Skully wags

    https://rideapart.com/articles/bad-w...y-systems-goes

    I'll tell you why.

It's because no rider wants a hideously over priced, gimmickry piece of shit helmet that doesn't improve, or make his riding experience any better/safer.

Either that or piss poor management, but since I hate gimmicky tech, I prefer to assume the former.

I always look at that sort of thing and go through the following stages.
    Ooh I want!
Wait, what would I really use it for?
Nah, that's not worth the cost.
    But I want it!
Do I, do I really? Nah.
Fuck that would be annoying having shit cast up onto my visor.

Hate distractions while I'm riding, plenty going on to keep the interest and concentration up. Resisted comms for years because my wife wanted to talk to me . Riding is my personal quiet time to escape everything else

I've used comms for years. I looked at Skully, and thought heh, maybe, but not at the initial price. Also, the company had no history with comms or helmets, when other manufacturers have decades in one (sometimes a little in both). Even they mess up... so what odds does the company have of pulling it together? What if I don't like the helmet or the comms, or it's not compatible with something else I'm using...

Embedded technology is great... when it works. When it doesn't, all sorts of grief.

We have comms which works well for overtakes and the likes. But thats enough distraction for me. Its not playing pumping beats....

Even if you had the money and desire they had supply issues any time I looked.

I don't get riding without music.

    Sounds familiar.
Had an intercom for my kids when they were young. They used to get bored after a while.
Said to my mate, he should get one to chat to his wife while out riding, his reply was "why do you think i brought a bike"
    Yep i get that!

Hahaha! When I'm in the car, I play music unless my wife is with me and we chat but I feel the same as your mate on the bike. I do use comms a lot now whilst I'm mentoring with IAM as it's a really useful tool, but almost never socially. It's rare that I even connect the phone via bluetooth. As I said, riding is a great time not to be bothered by anyone or anything

Like listening to music whatever I am doing, riding is no different.
