    Hampton's Christchurch closed

Looks like Hampton's have pulled the plug. http://www.hamptonmotorcycles.co.nz

I'm disappointed, as they had a great range of gear. Bought my new jacket from them and they were really helpful. Not to mention I was able to check the fit before buying, something both www.superdupercheapshit.com and www.premiumawesomeness.com suck at.

Yep - closing shop after many years, many brands (man they were brand sluts) and finally specialising in gear.

Christchurch too small for a motorcycle gear dedicated shop? Probably. NZ probably is.

Arse sale though - 10% ain't a sale - max 25%, shit the bed start it at 25% then we will arrive!

Still sorry to see another shop go.

Bags of arse! I bought new jacket, pants, boots and gloves from them about 3 years back. Good people to deal with. Helmet replacement coming up in the next 6 months I thought. Might have to be in the next couple of weekends now. Ooh. ... and new winter gloves. The duct tape is peeling off mine.

Have a look in Street and Sport - fuck whats it called now? First European. Triumph shop.

They've got a great range of gear. Most of it Triumph branded though some not. I have a couple of Triumph branded jackets and they are excellent.

also sad to see Hamptons go - and how do Crapsblots keep going? It isnt their fantastic service thats for sure

Agree that is a real shame. I'd started getting my gear from there as they supported the TT2000 and found the staff were always friendly. I'm guessing this means the Honda dealership part is closing as well...and the motorcycle tour side.

Indeed, I also used them because of the TT and referred mates there as well. Excellent service.

Paradise (the tour company) uses them as a base, but they're HQ'd in Auckland, so I assume they'll find another location in Chch for that base.

It was the new Hayabusa, Gen 1, I stood and looked at for about 10 minutes .. what the fuck is that, Salmon pink and a 300kmh speedo.

They promised bmw floor space at their new premises which then fell through. That's why bmw moved on.
