He is in White pages. Lives in Northcote or close to it. Good luck if you have to leave a message as he is very laid back. Why not send the shock to Robert Taylor at Hawera Motorcycles, 06 278 4160 as he is Ohlins Distributor.

    Cheers

Cool I'll ring him. Robert is up to his eyeballs for the next 3 weeks so I thought I'd shop around for something more local.

    Dredged from the depths......

Can anyone confirm that Tjebbe Bruins contact details in this thread are still correct?

I snapped the piston rod on my CRM shock yesterday and it seems he is the man to fix it.

    Cheers.

    Find someone else.
He 'rebuilt' a shock for me. It didn't last one practice session and he didn't want to know about it when I tried to bring it to his attention.

Should I start a poll to get my shocked fixed?

    1 Confirm details.

    2 Get other recommendations.

    3 Start a new thread.

    4 Applaud that GIF.

5 Get popcorn, it's raining again.

6 Ask if anyone has an 89 - 95 XR250r shock in good condition for a reasonable price.

The only direct swap is from a 89-95 XR250r. I don't want to try to make another shock fit. I have the mechanical ability of a slug. So it's a rebuild or direct replacement so far. Second hand XR which would need to be serviced or maybe a new Hagon. Boils down to bounce for the dollar really.

Oh, the shock is still on the bike so I have no idea of measurements. A new piston shaft and service would suit me for my skill level and fear threshold.

Well there is plenty of XR250's being wrecked on Trademe, some models are likely better than others.

From memory the ones before about 86 were remote res.

Don't go looking! I can do that.

I had a quick look, but no XR 250 r's. It was quick..

I would still like TB's number. Buying a new shock is a last resort and 2nd hand would be the same age and unlikely to have been looked after as well.

Not just TB but any other well reputed, know their stuff, give a damn suspensioneers.
