The Ducati bike allocation is a bit more complicated than I realised. First thing is they will only run 4 current spec bikes, which went to the factory team and Pramac this year.

Pramac has a contract option for 2025 for 2 factory bikes which they have to exercise by July, but Yamaha has made them a very good offer to switch next year. If they do stay with Ducati, then Gresini and VR46 will be running GP24 spec next year. Also, the Pramac riders are contracted directly to and paid by Ducati.

So for next year at least, there appears to be little chance of Marc Marquez getting a GP25 if he stays at Gresini.

There's a fair few riders that aren't exactly performing very well and are in danger for next year I think too:

I'd be surprised if we have both Fernandez boys on the grid next year, I'd say the one at Trackhouse is as good as goneskis in favour of Joe Roberts. Perhaps the Gasgas one too if MM decides to jump across, with KTM shuffling their riders about.
Miller... Hard to say, he's probably off the factory bike as part of the above shuffle.
Will Aleix retire? I'd say he'll be pushing hard to have Martin take his seat.
Alex Marquez will have a seat as long as his brother is on the grid.
Nakagami is just keeping that seat warm for Ai Ogura, Honda in general are a bit of a joke though so not really worth talking about what riders they'll have as they aren't going to get the crème of the crop riders going for it.
The Beast, he's losing that seat to Martin I'm thinking and Marquez to Pramac.

Olivera and Morbidelli, both proven race winners so will get more time

Yamaha will set 4 bikes with Nakagami taking both 3rd and 4th seats simultaneously. The combination will be unstoppable and after years of untapped talent being masked by the Honda will start winning by COTA.

Only to be disqualified mid season when someone notices the 5th cylinder on his bike(s).

As fast as was humanly possible on Dunlop Triangulars. On 1.85in and 2.15in wide 19's.

Which we thought at the time were pretty good.

I didn't ride much from about 1990 until 2010. I was amazed how much tyres had improved.

tyres and probably the circuit itself is "better" than it was. What were the respective weather comparisons?

the 250s were nearly as fast as the 500' a Jerez back then compare the moto 3 to the 125 times

I was curious: the fastest lap at Jerez in the 1996 race was 1:44.812 by Luca Cadalora, about 1 second slower than Rossi's time in 2001.
The fastest race lap in Moto3 was 1:45.105, so not much in it.
