    Went all wrong today

What looked to be a top days riding out to Wangamonga Pub today sadly went very wrong coming home for one of the guys in a tricky bit of road ending in hitting a car Head on at very high speed . I can say that even with major injury he is still with us & will hopefully heal up as good & as fast as possible . I'm still abit blown away by the Sad turn of event's , Plus only finding out from the others that had witnessed it . I was out front doing my thing so was unaware if what had happend behind . Will go up to see him in the next couple of day when they have him stable enough for visits .

I hope he pulls thru okay and heals up quick. Hope you get a good sleep 2nite too Scott, I know how shocking it can be when a rider goes down on a group ride I'm participating in. Please pass on best sincere wishes from KB.

    Incident

As Sensei says be carefull out there. Rider is believed to have escaped with moderate leg injuries (to be confirmed) after flying further than the Wright Brothers. A very lucky lad! Guessing here but it seems he may have seen the road a couple of hundred metres ahead as he came over a small brow & didn't see the kink in the road in between let alone the car in the dip.
May his injuries be temporary with a speedy recovery.

PS Please don't push past both your own and your bikes sensible limits on the road. That painted road barier stops SFA!

Boy, this has been an emotional day. So much sadness around. Thankfully this one is still alive. Get well quickly. John.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. How were the occupants of the car? Must be quite a shock to be involved in something like this.
