    S&S...E carb...

    looking for some info/tuning tips on the S&S carby,fitted to a 1998 evo 1340....starting point for mixture screws etc cheers...

    cheers TROLL, got all the info plus some...got rid of the back fire ,flat spot ,and the sprotbike in the mirror.

    I always wondered about the E and G series carbs. I know they're a great performance carb but aren't they a mongrel to tune spot on? Always seemed to have better luck with the Mikuni flat slides.

    The new(ish) Holley 2 barrel is a trick looking piece of kit too.

    s&s is a lot simpler carb than a mikuni and easier to tune than the mikunui

    ultimately the mikuni may be better but the s&s has a far better looking aircleaner

    for the most bang for your buck a decent cam will always give more power than just bolting on a decent carb
