    Mt Wellington 10th June, Saturday

Mt Wellington Go Kart Track. Tainui Rd.
    Sign on time; 8.30-9.00am
    $20 per rider

All small motorbikes are welcome. This includes minimoto, pitbikes, Street Magic's, scooters, whatever you ride. All little kids and big kids(adults) are welcome too.
All that is required is that any sharp metal peices that stick out of your bike are to be covered. If you fall off your bike we dont want the track damaged by your footpegs etc. If your bike has lights etc they must be removed or covered securely.
All riders must wear a helmet, gloves, knee and elbow protection.
We will be sharing the track with Bucket riders. We will get plenty of track time.

    Any questions, please ask away.

I'm curious to know how things go with the sharing of the track with the buckets? At the moment the Saturday practise days are the only time I can get out on the track as I don't have leathers to race in, yet.

Sounds a bit daunting having the prospect of getting learned by a fucken pocket bike!

    Hi Swanny,
Come on over and have a look!
We can even put you in the Wobblers class (beginners).
We make up the minimoto classes on the day according to who turns up and how experienced they are. The juniors always ride separate from the senior mini riders, but new riders and new girl riders can ride with the juniors. The buckets, pitbikes, scooters etc have their own time on the track. No mini's are allowed on the track whilst the others are riding.
If someone comes along who has never ridden before and doesnt feel confident enough to go out with anyone on the track, then we can accomodate them, by closing off the track to anyone else.
We want people to come down and have fun, not to be scared of riding.

    Hi Wellyman,
If I can get the clutch fixed on my 4.2 aircooled , you can have a go on that.

    Sounds awfully stupid but...

Where is Mt. Wellington karting track? How do I get there from the big Panmure roundabout?
    Thank you!

    This sounds good.

I was dreading that they mixed the Buckets and Pocket bikes togeather.
I'll have my bucket there, need to clean the Carb first but.

    Pocketbikes

    Hi Wellyman,
There's a place in Manukau called TLC Bikes. 23c Norman Spencer Dr. ph 2785449. They have good bikes. Check out Trademe as they have lots of dealers on there. As soon as you get your bike, check over every scew and nut and bolt. Being Chinese these bikes are not always put together well. I do know that TLC check their bikes thoroughly.
Take your tool kit that you get with the bike to the track and some chain oil.
Keep checking your bike chain after every time on the track. Check your tyre pressure before you ride it.
We look forward to seeing you ride your own bike.
