It's from an NPR piston kit for an RG150.
It looks like it should sit behind one of the piston rings.
If so which one? Is it necessary at all?

Er, um, RG150 is a two stroke. No oil ring on a two smoker, cos there's no oil!
"Tis a ring expander, they used to be common. Where is goes, you need to check the suppliers info. Obviously, behind one of the rings.

Thanks Dave, beneath the 2nd ring it shall go.
As for "you need to check the suppliers info" - I tried that. Couldn't find anything from NPR. The suzuki manuals don't show it at all.
